Phew. That was crazy. It's been a while since i've written, dear diary, and much has happened. this is in no particular order, and it's pretty me-centric, but hey isn't that de rigeur for blogs? Exactly.

In the last while, we've been asked to move out. Yep, the owners want to move in. That's ok, i guess, since we found a place the very next day, and it's b i i i g. A little beat up, and needs cleaning, but big. How about 10 meter ceilings? That's right, 32 foot high ceilings. It's crazy. Check it out here.

I had lunch with Bono. Really. He's actually my boss, in a weird way. We had lunch together with a few other people and his assistant. He's very smart, down to earth and cool. We showed him a video i worked on, a look prototype, and he freaked out asking to see it again (we played it 3 times). He's really into the videogame medium. Videogames are bigger than movies now, have been for a while. It's the golden age, like Hollywood in the late 30's. Cool to be right at the apex of it.

Joined a band. They on the radio, with a few songs on the top 10 of the local radio station. My favorite stuff isn't on this page, but it's an idea. We're working on an all new set. It's great to be playing again.

Linus our kitten is sick. He needs some special therapy. There's more on Brie's blog about it.

Right now the power is out. It's 28 degrees and HUMID. Last night we got home and it was 31 inside the apartment at 8:00pm! It's like we stepped into the mouth of a St. Bernard. Sooo hot... and we have no AC. I'm typing in the dark with only the light from my laptop screen, and 2:19 before the battery dies :)

This Friday is Australia Day, where we mandatorily have to put shrimp on barbies or feed a baby to a dingo or something. I think we'll go surfing instead. If i see any of those items, i'll put a shrimp on the dingo (well, that's better than a baby on a barbie), or whatever it is, promise.

Kirk and I gave a talk at the Asia Pacific Games Conference (GCAP), pretentiously titled "The Secret Alchemy of Creating Outstanding Next Gen Visuals" It was to a few hundred people. We discussed some tricks and fundamentals to making graphics look great on the PS3 / Xbox 360.

Kirk and i were interviewed by the magazine IGN (videogame magazine). They misquoted me, got some of Kirk's and my quotes backwards... I never said that Programmers are third after Artists and Designers. BOY did i get flack from that one! I bought the entire programming team doughnuts in an attempt at some kind of repair for that situation.

And the biggest news by far: My Dad and Stepmom Kathi are both in the hospital with serious operations. It's scary. We're mortal.
